This saddened bliss

Comes from living in a world

Hinging on its redemption

But ridden by the fall

This sweet disease

Anticipating the cure

To all the misery around

Watching the clock tick on life

This melancholy festival

Come join the fun

Of those marching onwards

Toward the redeemed grave

This happy affliction

With its moments of birth and play

Bringing forth tears tinged with

Joy and sadness, mirth and mortality

This confused clarity

Of the in between

Not knowing the day or hour

Of the clouds being rolled back

But if it be vocation

To work between heaven and hell

So be it; this pleasant work

Of watching the stars for a void to form in between
